PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control apparatus, a control method, and a computer program which flexibly cope with various combinations of application programs and platform programs, and shortening of a developmental process and reduction of a development load by improving reusability of application programs and platform programs for achieving a unique function of the apparatus. SOLUTION: Between a platform layer 108 and an application layer 107, a middleware layer 109 based on a middleware program is provided. In the middleware layer 109, an interface of an application layer 107 side is selectable, and an interface of a platform layer 108 side is selected. Further, depending on functions in the application layer 107 side and a function of the platform layer 108, a function in the middleware layer 109 is also selectably turned into a functional module.
