<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium air battery having higher battery characteristics than conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: An F-type electrochemical cell 20 as the lithium air battery comprises a casing 21, a positive electrode 23 and a negative electrode 25 of metal lithium set therein opposing each other via a separator 27, and nonaqueous electrolyte 28 containing N-(3,3,5,5-tetramethyl-4-oxyrupiperigyl) pyrene-1-carboxyamide radicals as an oxidation reduction catalyst for oxygen, and filled between the positive electrode 23 an the negative electrode 25. A foam nickel plate 22 is put on the positive electrode 23, and the foam nickel plate 22 is pressed by a pressor member 29 where air can distribute to the side of the positive electrode 23. The casing 21 can be separated into an upper part to contact the positive electrode 23 and a lower part to contact the negative electrode 25, and an insulating resin exists between the upper part and the lower part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
