<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to glue ends of rubber core-inserted braids to each other without using a common adhesive, thereby solving problems in the use of the adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: The method uses a two-split type mold 2 which is composed of a pair of mold plates 21, 22 and in which grooves 23, 24 formed inside both the mold plates form a through-hole 25 into which the rubber core-inserted braid 1 is fitted tightly when both the mold plates are closed. To the groove 23 of one mold plate 21, the end 11 of the braid 1 is fitted and the other end 12 of the braid 1 or the end 12 of a separate braid is fitted to the groove 23, and the ends 11, 12 of the braid are drawn closer to each other. A thermoplastic resin 3 is interposed between both the ends 11, 12, resin 3 is heated and melted in a state that the mold 2 is closed, the melted resin is made penetrate the ends 11, 12 of the braid 1 and solidified, and the ends 11, 12 of the rubber core-inserted braid 1 are joined to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
