PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sign-language interpretation system for performing sign-language interpretation on a network, and also receiving a broadcasting program and a sign-language image with the use of one broadcasting receiving apparatus.

SOLUTION: The sign-language interpretation system includes: the broadcasting apparatus 1; a sign-language interpretation apparatus 2; and the broadcasting receiving apparatus 3. The broadcasting apparatus 1 broadcasts broadcasting program information and also broadcasts sign-language image information corresponding to the broadcasting program information received from the sign-language interpretation apparatus 2. The sign-language interpretation apparatus 2 receives and outputs the broadcasted broadcasting program information, receives the sign-language image information corresponding to the broadcasting program information, and transmits the information to the broadcasting apparatus 1. The broadcasting receiving apparatus 3 receives and outputs the broadcasted broadcasting program information and the sign-language image information. The broadcasting apparatus 1 also transmits delay time information for synchronizing the broadcasting program information with the sign-language image information. The broadcasting receiving apparatus 3 synchronizes the output timings of both the information through the use of the delay time information.
