SOLUTION: A multimedia terminal device includes: a pattern search section 73 for extracting, as partial data, a part of data designated by a user from multimedia data containing image information or audio information and for searching an image pattern or an audio pattern associated with an application that the present device holds, from the extracted partial data; a keyword acquisition section 74 for acquiring character information indicated by the image pattern or the audio pattern obtained by the search; and a cooperation initiation section 75 for executing the application corresponding to the image pattern or the audio pattern while using the obtained character information as an input parameter.
