<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that enables a large display to be mounted while the apparatus miniaturization is maintained and that is satisfactory in operability and usability. <P>SOLUTION: The representative configuration of the image forming apparatus includes: an ejecting section 5 for ejecting a sheet; an operating section 9 disposed so as to project within a sheet ejection area of the ejecting section 5; and moving means moving an operating section 9 (a post 19, motor (drive source) 11, partial non-teeth gear 12, fixing lever 13, operation lever 14, biasing spring (biasing member) 15, and operating spring 16).
