PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support system for providing an item to be investigated to technical assignment in a design stage of product development obtained by use of QFD technique.

SOLUTION: This design support system for supporting a design related to development of a product has: terminals 10 each displaying combination data related to a combination between required quality used in the QFD technique and a component used when achieving the required quality, and each transmitting the combination data selected by a user; and an application server 110 receiving the combination data transmitted from the terminal 10, extracting investigation item data related to an item to be investigated to the design stored in a DB server 120 based on the combination data, transmitting the extracted investigation item data to the terminal 10, and providing them to the user.
