<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tag printer which prevents printing on a place on which the printing is impossible by a simple constitution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The tag printer is equipped with: a tag continuous body in which a hole 11 for hooking a yarn or the like is formed and a hole 14 for skip which is larger than the hole for hooking is formed by setting up the hole for hooking at a position where printing is impossible as a standard for a central site; a conveying means for conveying the tag continuous body to a printing part; a detecting means in which at least three sensors 17a, 17b and 17c are arranged continuously at equal intervals within a specified straight line distance approximately coinciding with the diameter of the hole for skip and which detects the holes for hooking and skip; a determination means for determining whether the detected result of the detecting means is for the hole for hooking or for the hole for a skip; and a control means which, when it is determined that the result is for the hole for the skip by the determination result of the determination means until the next hole for hooking is detected, the printing by the printing part is not performed, and the conveyance of the tag continuous body by the conveying means is controlled.
