<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image composition apparatus capable of reducing the deterioration of image quality caused by variation in a plurality of imaging devices, and composing reference image data into a high-resolution image at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The image composition apparatus comprises: an image input means for inputting a plurality of image data items obtained by imaging the same subject; an image composition means for composing the plurality of image data items inputted by the image input means to produce composite image data; a composition processing range-selecting means for selecting one of the plurality of image data items as reference image data, comparing image quality of each divided region between the reference image data and the composite image data and selecting a composition processing range including the divided region where the image quality of the composite image data is improved; and a high-resolution image producing means for producing a resolution-improved image by composing the reference image data outside the composition processing range to the composite image data within the composition processing range selected by the composition processing range selecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
