摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication terminal and directivity control method thereof in which processing power consumption can be suppressed as low as possible when remaining capacity of a battery is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In accordance with information of a communication class contained in the signal of a control channel sent from a base station, a communication class determination section 2 determines whether the signal sent therefrom indicates data or a voice. A remaining battery power determination section 4 determines whether the remaining capacity of a terminal battery is equal to or less than a threshold. When the remaining capacity of the battery is equal to or less than the threshold and the communication class indicates voice communication, a transmitting and receiving mode switching section 5 carries out transmission and reception using a single antenna among a plurality of antennas.
