摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium transition metal oxide which exhibits excellent characteristics in a charge/discharge depth range mainly used in a cell loaded on EV and HEV and excellent thermostability especially in SOC=50%. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium transition metal oxide having a layer structure is represented by general formula Li<SB>1+x</SB>M<SB>1-x-y</SB>M'<SB>y</SB>O<SB>2-&delta;</SB>(wherein M is one element selected from Mn, Co and Ni or elements which consist of two or more of these elements; and M' is one element of typical elements to the third period in the periodic table or elements which consists of two or more of those elements), and has a crystal structure belonging to the trigonal system of R-3m space group, an oxygen site occupancy of 0.982<oxygen site occupancy&le;0.997 which is determined by the Rietveld method and a distance between 3b site and 6c site of 1.92 &angst;&le;distance between 3b site and 6c site <1.95 &angst;. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
