摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material whose the re-color developing power is not lowered even if containing waste paper pulp in a support and in which the electrolytic corrosion of a thermal head is remarkably reduced, and to provide a thermosensitive recording method by which the electrolytic corrosion of the thermal head can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording material has a thermal coating layer containing at least a leuco dye and a developer directly or through an undercoating layer on the support, and includes the waste pulp in its support. The support combinedly uses monosaccharide and/or oligosaccharide, a cationic surfactant and cation exchange resin the thermal coating layer, the support of the undercoating layer, or monosaccharide and/or oligosaccharide, an anionic surfactant and anion exchange resin for at least one of the support, the thermal coat layer, the undercoat layer, and support of the undercoating layer, and each of the layers.
