<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing paper not only having sizing performance effectively imparted by the use of a comparatively small amount of an internally added sizing agent, but also hardly causing delamination and generation of paper dust in printing and providing excellent printing surface property. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The printing paper contains the internally added sizing agent for papermaking and a filler in a base paper, and is made by a paper machine. The internally added sizing agent for the papermaking contains an ampholytic copolymer having a hydrophobic group and obtained by quaternarizing at least a part of cationic groups as an active ingredient.
