<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use vehicle state information for determining negligence and liability after an accident by storing the information before and after the accident even if it is a minor contact accident or collision accident. <P>SOLUTION: An MCU 27 of a gateway electronic controller 20 for a vehicle includes: a receiving part 27a which receives the vehicle state information containing the speed or acceleration of the vehicle from each electronic controller and receives inter-vehicle distance from an intelligent type fixed speed traveling device; a first memory which stores the received vehicle state information; a calculation part 27b which calculates the relative speed and relative acceleration based on the received vehicle state information and calculates a collision index using the relative speed, the relative acceleration, and the inter-vehicle distance; a determination part 27d which determines whether the calculated collision index may exceed a certain value or not; and a vehicle information management part 27d which determines the time when the collision index exceeds the certain value as an accident occurrence time, and causes the first memory to store the vehicle state information before and after the accident based on the determined accident occurrence point of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
