<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance model system for observing tumor progression, angiogenesis and tumor metastasis. <P>SOLUTION: An enhanced method for observing tumor progression, angiogenesis and/or metastasis in animal models in real time is described. A skin flap over the area to be observed that can be opened and closed reversibly is employed.
