<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding tool for throwing-in a cuttlefish hook, which is capable of selecting a ring responding to a various sizes of hooks, holds the cuttlefish hook surely and stably, smoothly throws in the cuttlefish hook, is easy to insert a catching hook of the cuttlefish hook into an insertion hole, is easy to handle, has a user friendliness, has a simple constitution, is excellent in durability, is suitable for mass production, is capable of being provided inexpensively, and economical. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This holding tool for throwing-in the catching hook 12, holding the hook 12 by inserting the cuttlefish hook 10 into the insertion hole from the catching hook 12 side and holding it in the insertion hole by utilizing the resiliency of the catching hook includes an outer shell A made of a synthetic resin material and a plurality of rings B made of a metal and mounted/fixed within the outer shell A, wherein the plurality of rings B each have a different inner diameter, arranged within the outer shell A in the order of decreasing the inner diameters, and constituting the insertion hole to have a plurality of level differences so that the catching hook 12 is engaged with a ring B having a corresponding dimension to the catching hook 12 of the cuttlefish hook 10 selectively.
