The method involves receiving digital broadcasting information by an electronic device (29) via one of localized white, black and grey colored frequency modulation/radio data system transmitters (3, 5, 8). The information is extracted, where the information is associated with a spatio-temporal coverage relevant to temporal and/or spatial location of the device. Extracted geo-contextual information is stored in a geo-contextual image file (25). The file is stored in a removable electronic nonvolatile memory (23) accessible by the device to broadcast the file to a digital photograph frame (22). An independent claim is also included for a device for broadcasting geo-contextual information under the form of an image in a digital photograph frame, comprising an information processing unit.
