<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter whose insertion resistance into the body is small and which is easy to manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: The indwelling balloon catheter comprises a tubular member body having at least a main lumen and a lumen for balloon expansion, and a balloon mounted on a balloon mounting part provided on the distal end side of the tubular member body. The relation of the outer diameter (A) of the tubular member body, the outer diameter (B) of a first adhesion part where the rear part of the balloon is bonded in the balloon mounting part, and the outer diameter (C) of a second adhesion part where the front part of the balloon is bonded is (A)>(B)>(C).
