PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, capable of reducing then influence of a photoreceptor and a memory of a developing device, at calibration. SOLUTION: The image forming device includes a control means for forming a regulating image on an image carrier, and a detecting means for detecting the regulating image. The control means controls a gradation, when forming an image by an image forming means, based on a detection result from the detecting means; and the control means further forms the first regulating image on the photoreceptor by the image carrier, and then forms the second regulating image, at a position different from the position of forming the first regulating image in a longitudinal direction of the photoreceptor, when the second regulating image different from the first regulating image is formed.
