摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of synthesizing alkoxymagnesium capable of obtaining a solid catalyst component suitable for preparing a polymer having a high bulk density and a small amount of fine particles without lowering its capabilities such as stereospecificity and polymerization activity, a solid catalyst component for polymerizing olefins wherein the alkoxymagnesium is employed, and a catalyst. SOLUTION: The method of synthesizing an alkoxymagnesium by causing metallic magnesium and an alcohol to react with each other in the presence of a halogen-containing compound while agitating them in an agitated tank to form solid alkoxymagnesium, is characterized by changing the agitation condition in the midst of the reaction to another agitation condition whereby the agitation energy level is decreased.
