PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation containing methylmethionine sulfonium chloride (MMSC) which is prepared by an easier method than the traditional methods and remains its stability by solving such a problem that MMSC, which has a protective effect for digestive tract mucous membrane and has been widely used for the amelioration of subjective symptoms and objective opinions on stomach ulcer, duodenal ulcer, and gastritis and the alleviation of symptoms, such as improvement of the liver functions attributable for chronic liver diseases, is decomposed by water giving off malodor, resulting in the temporal quality degradation of MMSC-containing preparations, although coating and the like are known as a means to preventing the quality degradation. SOLUTION: The MMSC maintains its stability and prevents the emission of malodor when vitamins B1 coexists. Based on this, the pharmaceutical preparation includes the MMSC and the vitamin B1, its derivative, or salt. The vitamin B1 derivative is preferably benfotiamine.
