PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always run one of the systems as an active system in a duplication system equipped with two management modules each of which is mounted with a baseboard management controller. SOLUTION: Two management modules 2 and 3 on which baseboard management controllers 21 and 31 are mounted respectively receive active system selection information (information included in ID signals 121 and 131) on which system to give priority from a center plane 1 when power is applied. Active system determination parts 23 and 33 determine either of the own system and the other system as an active system based on the active system selection information. When it is determined that the other system should be run as an active system, an initializing process for the own management module is delayed by a predetermined time to enable the other system to run as an active system.
