PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent water intrusion into a bearing supporting a shaft, in a pump device having a horizontal shaft of a motor. SOLUTION: A motor housing 5 and a pump housing 6 are formed with a shaft support bulkhead 10 put therebetween, the shaft support bulkhead retains an oil seal 20 at a pump housing side, and a tube part 18 is provided at the motor housing side. A bearing 26 supporting the shaft 40 is retained in a through-hole 19 of the tube part, a seal space S is formed between an opening end surface of the through-hole and the oil seal, and an impeller 60 is attached to the shaft extending into the pump housing from the oil seal. A stopper plate 45 is provided on the shaft between the bearing and the oil seal, and the seal space is communicated to an outside by a water drain path D. Consequently, water leaking in from the oil seal and flowing on the shaft is shut off by the stopper plate and does not reach the bearing 26, and is discharged to the outside without staying in the seal space S.
