Disclosed is an emulsion for damping members, which contains an emulsion obtained by emulsion-polymerizing a monomer component. The emulsion is obtained by emulsion polymerization using an anionic emulsifier and/or a reactive emulsifier, and the average particle diameter of emulsion particles is within the range of 100-450 nm. Also disclosed is an emulsion for damping members, which contains an acrylic emulsion particle having a core portion and a shell portion. The acrylic emulsion particle is formed by polymerizing a monomer component which essentially contains a monomer having a Q value within the range of 0.6-1.4 and an e value withinthe range from-0.4 to-1.2.
