<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image encoding device of the H.264 standard which has such a circuit scale that it is mounted on a semiconductor integrated circuit by improving the encoding processing speed and suppressing a deterioration in image quality incurred by encoding. <P>SOLUTION: An image of one frame is divided into slices comprising a plurality of macroblocks, and intra-prediction encoding based upon the H.264 is carried out in units of small blocks of divided macroblocks. At this time, control is performed to carry out pipeline processes on a per slice basis, and consequently the processing speed is increased without making the circuit scale large and without causing a deterioration in image quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
