PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-axis magnetic sensor for noncontactly and stably detecting a four-axis operation position. SOLUTION: A position sensor 1 has an X-axis magnet 6A provided in an X-axis support 6, a Y-axis magnet 7A provided in a Y-axis support 7, and a Z-axis magnet 4A provided in an operation section 4. An X-axis MR sensor 600, a Y-axis MR sensor 700 and a Z-axis MR sensor 500 are provided on a printed wiring board 3 so as to face the magnets. The Z-axis MR sensor 500 detects a rotational operation around a Z-axis by using a first magnetic detecting section 501 having a magnetic resistance saturated by an applied magnetic field, and detects a push operation in the Z-axis direction by using a second magnetic detecting section 504 which is not saturated. Since an angular conversion of output signals output from the X-axis MR sensor 600, the Y-axis MR sensor 700 and the Z-axis MR sensor 500 is implemented, the position sensor 1 can detect the operation position prevented from being influenced by a temperature change.
