<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dioxin-containing polluted soil purifying method at a low cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The dioxin-containing polluted soil is adjusted to slurry of a given concentration, the dioxin concentration of settled solid matter in the slurry is measured at every given standing time in advance, a range of the standing time is set wherein the dioxin concentration of the settled solid matter becomes below a reference value, the settled solid matter is drawn out and dewatered within the range of the standing time, and the residual slurry wherein the settled solid matter is drawn out, is subjected to the detoxification treatment.
