<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of shortening a range, where a treatment tool projecting from a treatment tool projection port can be freely bent, only when needed, imparting a direct tactile to the operation of incising a mucosa or the like and executing accurate incision treatment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In front of the treatment tool projection port 7o and at the inner peripheral part near the distal end of a distal end hood 10, a treatment tool fixing device 11 is provided which is capable of binding and unbinding a part near the distal end of the treatment tool 100 projecting from the treatment tool projection port 7o by a remote operation, and is freely fixing and releasing the part near the distal end of the treatment tool 100 to and from a position near the distal end of the distal end hood 10.
