<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide audio data with presence and improve user convenience when providing the audio data to captured image data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image capturing apparatus includes an audio acquisition unit 103 that acquires audio data, an audio processing unit 104 that analyzes the acquired audio data and detects predetermined audio data, an image capturing unit 105 that captures image data by activating a shutter when the audio processing unit 104 detects the predetermined audio data, and a storage unit 106 that stores the audio data acquired by the audio data acquisition unit 103 before shutter activation in association with image data captured by the activation of the shutter.
