<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna for a mobile terminal, which has extremely superior durability and can be manufactured at low cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The antenna for the mobile terminal 10 comprises a first rod-like antenna element 21, a second cylindrical antenna element 22 into which the first antenna element 21 is inserted, and a slide portion 24 provided nearby a lower end of the first antenna element 21 and sliding in contact with an internal wall of the second antenna element 22 to electrically connect the first antenna element 21 and the second antenna element 22 to each other, wherein the slide portion 24 comprises a cylindrical thin-diameter portion 241 and a plurality of slide pieces 242 extending away from the thin-diameter portion 241 along the axis of the first antenna element and substantially inclined from the thin-diameter portion 241 to extend outward, the slide pieces 242 being bent inward nearby tips thereof.
