[PROBLEMS]An angular indexing device for a machine tool, in which large torque can be obtained on a rotating shaft without an increase in the outer diameter of a component incorporating a motor and in which supporting rigidity of bearings is enhanced.[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS]The angular indexing device for a machine tool has a rotating shaft (40) to which a member (11) to be rotated is fixed, a housing (30) surrounding the outer periphery of the rotating shaft (40) and attached to and detached from a machine tool body, bearings (B1, B2) placed between the housing (30) and the rotating shaft (40), and drive means placed between the housing (30) and the rotating shaft (40) and rotating the rotating shaft (40) to index angular positions. Drive motors (M1, M2, M3) are used as the drive means, and the motors (M1, M2, M3) have motor rotors and motor stators arranged in the housing (30) so as to be concentric with the rotating shaft (40). The drive motors (M1, M2, M3) are serially arranged so as to be spaced in the direction of the axis of the rotating shaft (40). Bearings (B1, B2) are arranged spaced in the axial direction. A double-row roller bearing, which can support loads in the axial and radial directions, is adopted for the bearing (B2) located closest to the member (11) to be rotated. One of the remaining bearings is placed between the drive motors (M1, M2, M3).
|
