PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating method of an air curtain which heats inside of a building, at the same time reduces electric power consumption and heat quantity by eliminating the necessity of blocking of cold air, and suppresses sensible cold air, and to provide a heating device for the air curtain. SOLUTION: In the heating device for the air curtain, ducts 2 are arranged on both sides of an opening 1 of the building, and nozzles 4 are provided on opposing lateral faces 8 of the ducts 2 on both sides. A warm air heater 3 converts air to warm air and the warm air is blown to the ducts 2 on both sides. The warm air is made to flow to the lateral direction from the nozzles 4 of the ducts 2 on both sides so as to make the warm air merge from both sides. The warm air blown out from the opening 1 is mixed with cold air made to flow in from outside air and is made to flow into the building. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
