<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transaction processor allowing a customer himself or herself to perform a series of card settlement processing without separately preparing a connecting device or providing a body with a device exclusively used for the customer's operation and securing safety of a transaction while protecting customer's privacy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The transaction processor includes an attaching/detaching means for connecting various circuits of a display unit and a base part for placing the display unit. In a state of the display unit being detached from the base part, personal authentication information of the customer who performs card settlement is acquired and stored, and registered authentication information to be compared with the personal authentication information is acquired based on information read from a card. When the display unit is placed on the base part, personal authentication is performed based on the personal authentication information stored by an authentication information storage means and on the registered authentication information acquired by a registered information acquiring means.
