<p>A wireless receiver is provided with a plurality of receiving antennas, a plurality of frequency space conversion sections for converting the signal received by the receiving antennas into a frequency space signal, a plurality of noise wave removal sections for calculating at least a transmission line coefficient matrix and an inter-antenna covariance matrix of the frequency space signal, a backend signal processing section for performing backend processing to the signal associated with the output of the noise wave removal sections, a pattern detecting section for detecting specific data from the multicarrier transmission waves received by the receiving antennas, a broadcast interruption detecting section for determining the interrupted state of the multicarrier transmission waves, and a backend operation control unit for making the backend signal processing section operate when the interruption of the multicarrier transmission waves is detected. The noise wave removal sections calculate the inter-antenna covariance matrix when the interruption of the multicarrier transmission waves is detected by the broadcast interruption detecting section. The wireless receiver is able to improve the receiver sensitivity by effectively removing the noise from within the device.</p> |
