Provided are a vehicle power module and power converter that are equipped with a power semiconductor element (328), multiple connecting conductors (371U, 372U, 373U) for transmitting current to the power semiconductor element (328), and a metal base (304) on which the power semiconductor element (328) and the multiple connecting conductors (371U, 372U, 373U) are mounted. The power semiconductor element (328) and the multiple connecting conductors (371U, 372U, 373U) are mounted to form a loop current path on the metal base (304). Even more preferably, the power semiconductor element (328) and the multiple connecting conductors (371U, 372U, 373U) are disposed to form two or more loop current paths.
