Disclosed are an apparatus for controlling a set-top box for a digital broadcast, and a method for driving the same. The apparatus for controlling a set-top box for a digital broadcast according to the present invention comprises: a touch pad for sensing the touch of a user, converting the sensed touch into a corresponding input signal, and outputting the result; a microcontroller for receiving the input signal from the touch pad, converting the received input signal into a corresponding control signal, and outputting the result; and a communication module for receiving the control signal from the microcontroller, and outputting the signal to a set-top box for a digital broadcast. |
