Disclosed is a low-loss ferrite which comprises the main component composed of 46.5 to 49.5 mol% of FeO, 17 to 26 mol% of ZnO, 4 to 12 mol% of CuO, not less than 0.2 mol% and less than 1.2 mol% of CoO, and NiO as the remainder, which further comprises Sn in an amount of 0.03 to 1.4 mass% in terms of the SnOcontent relative to 100 mass% of the main component, and which has an average crystal particle diameter of 0.7 to 2.5μm. Also disclosed is an electronic component produced by co-firing a laminate composed of two or more layers each comprising the low-loss ferrite and a coil-shaped electrode formed in the laminate. |
