BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH PARKING BRAKE

A brake actuator (1) provided with a housing member (2), a piston, an urging means mounted between the housing member (2) and the piston, a rod member (3) mounted in an inner space of the piston, a tubular member (4) connected to the piston, a parking piston (5) mounted to the tubular member (4), and an urging means (7) for parking, mounted between the housing member (2) and the parking piston (5).  In the tubular member (4) are formed a first recess (9) extending in the direction of the axis of the tubular member (4) and a second recess (10) extending in the circumferential direction from the first recess (9).  A ball (12) is mounted between the tubular member (4) and the parking piston (5).  When the parking piston (5) is rotated in the circumferential direction, the ball (12) moves from the second recess (10) to the first recess (9).
