A screen device wherein each screen mounting frame (2, 3) contains therein a first housing section (15) and a second housing section (16) which individually contain two slide guide frames (9), the first and second housing sections being arranged at different positions inside the screen mounting frame, the two slide guide frames being connected to each other at respective free ends thereof by a tension member (21) forming a loop (20) having no crossing point, the free ends being contained in the same screen mounting frame. The screen device can be mounted to an opening of a building with less limitation to the size of the portion where the screen device is mounted.
