The invention relates to the composition of a catalytic paste for electrodes containing carbon (substrate), octadecyl (C18) (preferential pesticide adsorbent), hydroxyapatite (paste stabiliser and adsorbent), and mineral oil. The paste of the present patent can be used for determining organochlorinated pesticides and other organic (non-electroactive) pollutants in an aqueous medium using differential-pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) as an electrochemical technique.
