THE BRIDGE DECK WATERPROOFING SYSTEM AND APPLICATION METHOD

PURPOSE: A waterproofing system for bridge deck is provided to form a waterproofing layer without lifting and separation by complete adhesion with a bridge surface and to increase reliability of a waterproofing layer by complete adhesion with an asphalt concrete layer. CONSTITUTION: A waterproofing system for bridge deck is prepared by mixing 4~14 weight% synthetic rubber with excellent elasticity and durability, 3~12 weight% polyisobutylene with excellent wet resistance, heat resistance, and water resistance, and 9~19 weight% inorganic filler with 55~74 weight% asphalt using asphalt as a main material, wherein the asphalt is selected from straight run asphalt or a mixture of straight run asphalt and blown asphalt.
