Different access methods are efficiently switched to each other.  A wireless communication system performs wireless communication between a control station device and a terminal device by selecting any one of a plurality of access methods.  The control station device notifies, using information that indirectly specifies an access method, the terminal device of the access method.  The terminal device selects, according to the notified information, any one of the plurality of access methods and performs wireless communication with the control station device.
