MODULE ASSEMBLING APPARATUS AND MODULE ASSEMBLING METHOD

Provided are a module assembling apparatus and a module assembling method.  A liquid crystal panel (2) having protection films (27a, 27b) adhered on the both surfaces in the thickness direction is held by holding hands (H21, H22), and the protection film (27b) is peeled by a peeling hand (H3) and a peeling robot (R3).  A backlight unit (3) is held by a backlight transfer conveyer (5) such that the liquid crystal panel (2) surface, from which the protection film (27b) has been peeled, and a fitting section of the backlight unit face each other and that the backlight unit is in parallel to the liquid crystal panel (2).  An assembling hand (H1) and an assembling robot (R1) assemble the liquid crystal panel (2) to the backlight unit (3) by moving the liquid crystal panel (2), from which the protection film (27b) has been peeled, in the direction to be closer to the backlight unit (3).
