Plastics closure for large volume container has a pouring neck (11) with an outlet (2) which is externally threaded to receive a screw-cap. The base of t he outlet has radially inward directed parts (3) which reduce the cross-section of the throughflow passage. The outlet can be depressed inside the container thanks to the flexible nature of the neck (11). When the outlet is so positioned, the flow-restricting parts (3) become directed parallel to the main container axis thereby increasing the cross-section. In the radial position the parts reduce the through-flow section by 40 to 60%, preferably by 50%. |
