<p>In a processing unit using a register window system, a register file read portion is controlled in two levels by current window selection and register selection. A register to be selected in each of read ports is previously set for each port so that the register can be executed in an out-of-order manner. Consequently, data can be read to an operation unit without using a temporary memory and an instruction following a window switching instruction can be executed in an out-of-order manner.</p> |
