METHOD OF KNITTING TUBULAR KNITTED FABRIC, AND TUBULAR KNITTED FABRIC

Disclosed is a knitting method for strengthening the joins between tubular knitted fabrics, and also disclosed is a knitted fabric knitted by means of this method. The knitting method comprises a knitting yarn intersecting step, a knit-forming step, and an interlacing step. The knitting yarn intersecting step involves alternately forming yarn-over stitches and tuck stitches on front and rear needle beds, and causing a knitting yarn that runs between the front and rear needle beds and connects the yarn-over stitches and the tuck stitches (cross-over knitting yarn portion (1)) to intersect part of the knitting yarn which makes up the tubular knitted fabric (intersecting knitting yarn portion (2)). The knit-forming step involves knitting the yarn-over stitch to form a new stitch (3) which is continuous with the yarn-over stitch. The interlacing step involves transferring either the new stitch (3) or an opposing stitch (4) locked to the needle bed opposite the new stitch (3) to the opposing needle bed to entwine the cross-over knitting yarn portion (1) and the intersecting knitting yarn portion (2).
