<p>The present steering apparatus (1) comprises a stationary bracket (37), which is fixed to a car chassis (39) and includes a first pair of side plates (44, 45), a receiver (80) and a second pair of side plates (54, 55) which are provided on a steering column (26), an electrically conductive cylindrical shaft (65), which is held between the first pair of side plates (44, 45) and inserted through the second pair of side plates (54, 55), and a plate-shaped conductive body (51), which is interposed between the receiver (80) and the outer circumferential surface (71) of the aforementioned cylindrical shaft (65). The conductive body (51) includes a first bow spring (83) and a second, U-shaped bow spring (88) that resiliently grips the aforementioned cylindrical shaft (65). A first contact section (81) on the second bow spring (88) is resiliently pressed against the outer circumferential surface (71) of the aforementioned cylindrical shaft (65), and a second contact section (82) provided on the first bow spring (83) is resiliently pressed against the receiver (80) by the first bow spring (83) being interposed between the second bow spring (88) and the receiver (80). Thus, electrical continuity can be maintained between the steering column (26) and the car chassis, and assembly is easy.</p> |
