C. engine having a cooling-air blower has the blower fan 38, Fig.1 mounted on an element 30 fixed in the cylinder head and the blower housing (40, 42), Fig.2 (not shown) is held on the cylinder head by the fixing means of at least one engine element e.g. inlet or exhaust pipes. The axialflow fan 38 delivers cooling air in the direction of the arrows through the shell halves (40, 42) along cooling ribs 12a, 14a and through channels 14b in the cylinder head to the slit between the shell edges (40b, 42b), Fig.4 (not shown). The shell halves are held together by screws on a plane passing through the cylinder axis and are retained by the fixing screws (26a, 28a) for the inlet and outlet manifolds (26, 28). |
