The appliance has a cooking appliance area with a charging opening, and a flexible seal (6) that is fastened at an opening flange (8) of the opening by a corner catch (14). The opening partly surrounds in a frame-like manner. The corner catch has a flat rail part (26) with a hook-shaped fastening part (28) for fastening in a recess (30) of the opening flange, and a fastening part (46) i.e. latch. The latch supports against an edge of the flange to secure the catch against rotation. The rail part has two brackets (26-1, 26-2) extending at an angle of 90 degree with respect to each other.
