PURPOSE: An idle prevention control method during the motion of a vehicle using a GPS is provided to facilitate the management of an idle prevention function by obtaining information about location, time, and date on a real time basis using GPS and accumulating operation information about idle prevention control. CONSTITUTION: An idle prevention control method during the motion of a vehicle using a GPS comprises following steps. Whether the condition of system operation is satisfied or not is determined by receiving the signals of a generator L-terminal and battery voltage from a sensor(S10). If the condition of the system condition is satisfied, whether a vehicle satisfies warming up condition or not is determined by receiving car speed and coolant temperature from a GPS or a sensor(S20). If the warming up condition is satisfied, whether the idle prevention condition is satisfied or not is determined by receiving vehicle speed and a foot brake from the sensor(S30).
